Vincent NICOMETTE
Vincent NICOMETTE is professor at the INSA Toulouse Computer and Electrical Engineering Department and researcher at the LAAS-CNRS in the Fault Tolerance and Computer Security (TSF) team.
He obtained a PhD from the Toulouse INP in 1996, and the Authorization to supervise research (ASR) in 2009, in the IT security field.
He teaches operating systems, administration and information networks security. He coordinates the Cisco certification at the INSA Toulouse.
His research activities concern:
- IT security.
- Characterisation and modelling of attacks on the Internet.
- Protection of operating system cores.
- Vulnerability analysis on consumer hardware connected to the Internet and application security assessment.
